Window panel falls off in Air India flight
Window panel came off in Amritsar-Delhi flight of Air India.
3 passengers got injured when Air India flight faced turbulence and a window panel came off at 15000 feet. Air India flight from Amritsar to Delhi was full of passengers. The flight faced turbulence at an altitude of 15000 feet due to bad weather soon after the take-off. The turbulence caused a window panel to come off and reportedly an air hostess even tried to fix the panel. There was an elderly woman seated at the window seat. The turbulence continued for around 10 minutes. 3 passengers are reported to have faced minor injuries. The aircraft had around 240 passengers flying from Amritsar to Delhi.
Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and Aircraft Accident Investigation Board (AAIB) and Air India officials are investigating the matter. Duration of this Amritsar-Delhi flight is about 35 minutes. Air India has not yet given any official statement on this incident.
