Bhuwana is popularly known as the Marble Market of Udaipur. It has always been the heart of marble industry. Recent developments in this area have brought it into limelight. Opening of McDonald’s at Celebration Mall has been successful in pulling crowd and now comes another tourist destination.

Yes! Bhuwana is going to be a new tourist destination in Udaipur. Chief City Planner, H.S. Sancheti has proposed to develop a Heritage Garden on a hill located in this area to UIT.

What’s new ?

This garden is going to be different in many ways, it will consists of fountains, food court, water fall and high mast lights. Not only this, the main attraction will be the models of famous tourist and heritage places of Rajasthan like Chittorgarh Fort, City Palace, Sajjangarh, Hawa Mahal, Kumbhal Garh etc.

Other proposals include, display of maps of District Headquarters and developing a Handicraft market in the foothills.

What’s the benefit ?

Popularly know as the Marble Market, Bhuwana will get exposure not only from local visitors but from tourists as well. The hill which has remained isolated will get some attention for betterment. It will be greener and well maintained as compared to the present day status. Also, the risk of illegal usage would be eliminated.

In short, this garden would give a sneak peek into the heritage and life style of Royal Rajasthan. Let’s hope that it gets developed beautifully and well in time.
