Birth, Death Certificate Services Get a Major Boost in Udaipur
This was made following the appointment of an additional computer operator in the Birth and Death Certificate Department of Udaipur Nagar Nigam
UdaipurTimes, Oct 28, 2026 - Now, the work of issuing birth and death certificates have picked up speed and certificates are now being issued within just two to three days by the Udaipur Nagar Nigam. This was made possible following an initiative by Udaipur Mayor Paras Singhvi to have an additional computer operator appointed in the Birth and Death Certificate Department. As a result, around 4,000 pending applications were cleared in approximately 15 days. Earlier, this same work would take approximately 30 to 45 days.
To facilitate elected representatives in resolving public-related cases, an additional computer has also been installed outside the Mayor’s office. Councillors and other public representatives can visit the office with the relevant documents. Once the documents are complete and the required procedural formalities have been fulfilled, efforts are being made to resolve cases immediately. In eligible cases, the department is trying to issue certificates on the same day.
