The series of protests against the massive petrol price hikes continued today with the Bhartiya Janta Party Yuva Morcha leading a demonstration against the UPA government.

The party members enacted street plays depicting the consequences of the petrol price hikes at Surajpol, opposite the Udaipur Hotel. The protest, led by Jitendra Shashrti, President of Yuva Morcha also included BJP member Rajni Dangi, Pramod Samar and Kiran Jain.

The protest was held this morning at 11:30 and attracted much attention from people passing by.

In addition to the protests against the hike, BJP Secretary and Legislator Kiran Maheshwari has also expressed major concern on the Congress’s Legislative development policies. She said that the officials have completely neglected the orders from the ruling government and the development in the rural areas has also been brought to a complete halt due to the chaotic administration.

Maheshwari further criticized the government by saying that various works that have been allotted are not even started the first year, meetings are usually not called. According to her, the behavior of the officials proves that the government assigned officials are not in their grasp and the administration is in a state of mayhem which has compromised rural development.
