Sunday afternoon there was a blast near PWD office in Gulab Bagh area. As per news, road was being dug for some work when the JCB machine hit underground electricity cable of 11 KV. This caused a blast and created a terror among public.

It was negligence on part of people involved in digging up the road. They did not make a note of the underground electricity line. As a result of the blast, the electricity line got damaged and entire area faced a power cut. After the blast, labour and JCB operator left the site. Electricity department was informed who could regularise the power supply after 2 and half hours.

Since the line was hit, it affected power supply of Kishan Pole, Fateh Memorial, Mewar Motors lane, Khanjipeer, Surajpole and Ice factory area.
