Boat Taxi to start between Swaroop Sagar and Pichola
The boat taxi will ply every hour from Dudh talai to Swaroop Sagar- Fateh Sagar link canal via Lal Ghat, Manjhi Mandir ghat and Swaroop Sagar. Boats will also be able to run general lake rides for tourists.
Tourists will soon be able to ply from one ghat to other at lake Pichola and also undertake a trip from lake Swaroop Sagar to lake Pichola via a boat taxi. UMC has initiated the tendering process for the same.
The boat taxi will ply every hour from Dudh talai to Swaroop Sagar- Fateh Sagar link canal via Lal Ghat, Manjhi Mandir ghat and Swaroop Sagar. Boats will also be able to run general lake rides for tourists.
The one-way rates that have been fixed for the boat taxi for Indian nationals are as follows:
- Going from one ghat to other in lake Pichola : Rs 100
- Going from one jetty to other in lake Swaroop Sagar : Rs 100
- Pichola to Swaroop Sagar – Fateh Sagar link canal : Rs 350
UMC is expecting an income of Rs 2.5 Cr from the tender. Technical bid for the tender will be opened on 23-Jan-2019.
