2 boys drowned in Narmada canal on 14^th May while they were doing some photography sessions. The boys aged 17 and 19 had slipped into the canal in Gandhinagar. Reportedly, one of the boys slipped and the other made an attempt to save him but unfortunately he also slipped and drowned with this friend.

The boys have been identified as Kartik Soni (19) and Nitya Panchal (17). Both were living in a paying guest accommodation in Gurukul area. Kartik hails from Udaipur. His father said that Kartik was in Ahmedabad studying in an engineering college. He was in the third year of BE and was by the canal for photography.
