Members of the Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat (Youth) took out a protest rally against an alleged disallowed reconstruction work going on at the shrine of Syedi Luqman ji at Bohrawadi by the members of the Dawoodi Bohra Shia Jamaat (Shabaab) today.

The rally, which started from Bohrawadi, ended at the Collector’s office. The conflict between both divisions of the community arose due to the construction work going on in the shrine area from the last many months, which the Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat Says is against the Waqf Law, while the other group is claiming it to be as per the law.

According to Hussain Udaipuri, spokesperson of the Youth group, the community is also commemorating the day of 1^st March as Black Day and wearing black ribbons to show protest.

They have appealed to the government to give recognition to all properties of Dawoodi Bohra community in the same manner as that of the Tirupati Mandir and Ajmer Dargah Sharif Act.
