Bomb Threat to The Artist House in Udaipur

Bomb defusing squad and sniffer dogs involved in search operations which is still under way

Udaipur, December 9, 2024: A search operation is currently underway at a hotel in Surajpole, Udaipur, The Artist House, after the place received a bomb threat. Surajpole police station was informed immediately and police personnel with a sniff dog squad conducted a search of the premises.  

Sayan Basu of The Artist House said that an email was received around 2:42 am warning about a bomb at the venue. The email mentioned that the bomb would explode at 9:30 am. Following this, the Surajpole police station was informed which, in turn, alerted the security agencies. A team comprising bomb defusing squad and a dog squad, arrived at the scene, and the search operation at The Artist House is continuing.

Sub-inspector Viram Singh of Surajpole police station informed that the threat had reportedly come on the mail ID of Rootage Hotel threatening to blow up the neighbouring The Artist House.

So far, no suspicious objects have been found but investigation is still on.
