Udaipur, January 30, 2025 - On January 28, 2025, a private sleeper bus overturned in Kherwara, Udaipur, after hitting a divider on National Highway 48. The accident resulted in the injury of the driver and seven passengers. Police reported that two passengers were seriously injured, while the rest sustained minor injuries. One of the seriously injured passengers was referred to MB Hospital in Udaipur for further treatment.
According to the police, the driver was drinking water while driving, which caused him to lose control of the vehicle. The bus, which was traveling from Haryana to Ahmedabad, had all passengers asleep at the time of the accident. The injured were quickly transported to the government-run Kherwara Hospital by the police.
Banswara Accident: Bus Carrying Devotees Overturns
In another incident, a bus carrying devotees from Badnawar, Madhya Pradesh, overturned in Banswara near the Madhya Pradesh border on its way back from a Jain temple in Dungarpur. The accident occurred at 10:45 PM on Monday in Danpur police station area. The bus had 25 people onboard, and 22 of them were injured in the accident. The injured passengers were taken to the hospital for medical attention.
