Those sitting on the higher echelons in the Congress party have not addressed the concerns raised by the then Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot. As per media reports, the much awaited reshuffle in the cabinet at Rajasthan is on the cards.
The rebel Congress leader had been at the helm of the political drama, which had shaken the Congress government at Rajasthan in 2020. At that point of time, nearly a year ago, when the stability of the Congress stronghold at Rajasthan was at stake, the top brass in the Congress had pacified Sachin Pilot and formed a committee to look into the concerns raised. The top brass had convinced Congress that his concerns will be addressed.
Sachin, in a recent interaction with media said that that the Congress has failed to deliver on the promises made to him along with 18 legislators. The rebel 19 had returned to the fold after he was given to understand that there would be quick resolution of his concerns by the committee so formed. However, at the end of nearly 10 months, nothing seemed to have moved. In May 2021, one of the key supporters of Pilio, MLA Hemaram Chaudhary had put in his papers.
While Congress will be looking at addressing Rajasthan, one of its strongholds in India, the think tank of the BJP is working overtime to address the fallout of the pandemic on its chances in the upcoming elections - specially at Uttar Pradesh.
