Udaipur’s Mohan Lal Sukhadia University’s Convocation Day on 25-26 March 2011 is coming close but clouds of dilemmas are not in mood to depart. Since few days local media is reporting constantly regarding the setback occurred between student union and MLSU’s authority.

Camera Not Allowed! on MLSU Convocation DayIt all started after a meeting held in MLSU on 12th March to plan out the event where new terms and rules were also introduced, including a new regulation of no personal cameras allowed in the ceremony, it certainly upset the student mass.

It’s a lifetime moment for 509 students who are going to receive degrees and gold medals for their accomplishments but might be without capturing those moments in their cameras.

According to the MLSU’s rule, there would be an official cameraman arranged to click photographs and any student who wish to get his photo has to pay Rs.500/-

Dilip Joshi, MLSU Student Union’s President has strongly opposed the said rule of “no camera” and warned the authority of mass boycott of the event. The authorities hold the decision to rethink over it till 15th March.

In a conversation with Dilip Joshi he said, “authority is concerned about security, I don’t know what is that for? We hope that tomorrow the final decision will come in our favor.”

In the this two days’ event 312 students will get their PhD degrees on 25th March and 197 students will be honored by Gold Medal on 26th March.
