Car catches fire late night-No casualties
A Safari car went up in flames on Monday night.
A car went ablaze late night at Reti stand. It is a matter of relief that there were no casualties in the incident.
Late Monday night a Safari car parked outside a mechanic shop went up in flames. The fire was so massive that the flames spread quickly bursting the compressor pump kept outside the mechanic’s shop. Short circuit is probably the reason behind the fire. The biggest point of relief is that there was no one near the vehicle. There is an electric pole near the shop which bent halfway down due to explosion in the compressor pump. Electricity supply of the area had to be shut down to avoid mishap.

As per witnesses, the incident occurred somewhere around 10 p.m. The moment people saw the vehicle going up in flames, they informed fire brigade. 4 fire fighting vehicles reached the spot one after the other but by then the Safari car was completely burnt. It took around one hour to take control of the situation. Even the mechanic shop went up in flames due to which tyres, tubes and other accessories got burnt. The shutter of the shop had to be cut open to douse the fire inside. The safari that got burnt was probably there for the purpose of servicing.
