Vehicle thieves are over active in Udaipur city. A man was in for a shock when he discovered that his car got stolen overnight. As reported by Professor Bhanu Kapil, he had parked his car outside his residence in Subhash Nagar on Monday night. When he stepped out of the house to leave for work at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, he found that his car was not there. He realised that the car was stolen. The incident has been reported in Bhupalpura police station. To add to the shock, when police went to investigate they found that the CCTV cameras were not working. There are all the possibilities that the thieves have been on rounds before committing the crime and deactivated the cameras. In the absence of footages, it is difficult to catch the culprits.

Incidents of vehicle theft are constantly happening in the city. The thieves are over active and the police stations are loaded with complaints of vehicle theft. In other incidents, there have been reports of bike theft from Saheli Nagar and hospital parking. Last week police had arrested 5 people in this case and recovered 11 bikes from them.
