After injuring three innocent people including a 12-year-old boy and damaging three food carts at Sukhadia Circle on 17th Jan, 2012, mystery surrounds on the ‘unkown’ owner of the car that rammed into the crowded area last night.

However, the Association of Food Cart Vendors has kept their business off for one day and demanded fair compensation to the cart owners whose sole earning vehicle was badly damaged and legal action against the culprit(s) causing the mishap.

While Police have registered a case against one Mohammad Shahrukh (in photo above), who was arrested on the spot and was allegedly driving the car at the time of the accident; as the position written on the number plate of the car points to ‘Vice President of Congress Minority’ it is possible that the owner might have strong political support.

District Congress has overruled any such allegations and clearly said that the vehicle does not belong to any of their leader or activist.

Vinod Sahu, leader of Food Vendor’s Association raised the objection on mishap and handed over a memorandum to Police Superintendent, Alok Vashishta.
