Kishan Lal Sharma, father of the Meenakshi, whose death is alleged to be a dowry death, submitted a memorandum to the Collector today demanding a proper investigation in the matter of his daughter’s death.

Kishan Lal Sharma, father of the Meenakshi, whose death is alleged to be a dowry death, submitted a memorandum to the Collector today demanding a proper investigation in the matter of his daughter’s death.

Meena, who had been married for last 2 years to Manish, was admitted to MB Hospital on 6th June with serious burn injuries and died later that night in the hospital.

Sharma had earlier accused Manish’s family for allegedly torturing, harassing & provoking his daughter to commit suicide and a case against the Manish was also registered at the Ambamata Police Station. But today, Sharma filed a memorandum to the collector, saying that no suicide note by his daughter had been found so far.

The memorandum also said that, when the incident happened no one at Meena’s In-Law’s house tried to stop her from committing suicide by putting herself on fire, which means that her in-laws had provoked her.

The unfortunate father, who appeals for justice and severe punishments for the family of Manish, said that, “My daughter had never talked or discussed about a suicide and I got no call from her before the incident.” The case is under the investigation of Additional Deputy Magistrate Yaseen Khan Pathan.
