CCMS Protest Ends, Students to Get Admission Card
Students of Commerce College, Udaipur will get the admission card after a 3 day long protest regarding 75% minimum attendance rule needed to appear for exam.
Today, on the third day of the protest, students from CCMS College gathered at MLSU campus and presented a memorandum to Prof. I.V. Trivedi, Vice Chancellor, Mohan Lal Shukhadia University, regarding permission letter and admit cards, which was blocked by University due to short attendance in college.
One of the student leader said, “The rule of attendance is strictly applied on students of CCMS College only, whereas more than 50% students from Arts and Science

Trivedi, Vice Chancellor, Mohan Lal Shukhadia University, regarding permission letter and admit cards, which was blocked by University due to short attendance in college.
One of the student leader said, “The rule of attendance is strictly applied on students of CCMS College only, whereas more than 50% students from Arts and Science faculty are lacking the attendance criteria and the rule was only meant for 1st year students, now there are more than 1200 students in Management faculty including both boys and girls.”
According to Pankaj Borana, President, CCMS, ABVP, “University exams are commencing from 23rd March, but college is not providing admit cards to the students, moreover students had already appeared for internal exams, so there is no point in blocking admission cards for the upcoming exams.”
CCMS Protest Timeline:
DAY 1 – With support of College president Pankaj Borana and ABVP, students closed the college for one day. Also, reported the matter to Prof. I.V. Trivedi, Vice Chancellor, MLSU.
DAY 2 – College closed continues, as no action was taken on the matter and college administration just lingered on the issue.
“Students have approached me and I informed them that, detailed report has already been given to University, it’s upon MLSU now,” said Dr D.S Chundawat, Dean, CCMS in his conversation with local newspaper on Tuesday.
Day 3 – Agitated students have demonstrated outside V.C’s office in MLSU Campus, thereafter in a meeting, Prof I.V Trivedi promised to provide Admit cards to the students.
“Student who is failing in more than 2 internal exams will be considered as fail and they have to reappear next year,” said Prof I.V Trivedi, Vice Chancellor, MLSU.
