Udaipur, June 26, 2026 | National News: The Central Government has hiked the fees for issuance of Passports, with effect from July 1, 2026. The notification to this extent was issued by the Ministry of External Affairs on June 20, 2026.

The Ministry of External Affairs, in its notification GST 516(E) has issued the Passport Amendment Rules 2026. According to the amendment, the fees for issue of fresh passport or reissue of passport as well as special travel documents and miscellaneous services have increased. Please note the new fees that will be in effect from July 1, 2026:

Passport Fee:

(a) Applicants (18 years of age and above / Minors aged between 15 to 18 years):
