All India Chemists and Druggists Association have called for an All India Bandh on 10 May 2013. The Bandh is called to protest against the policies of the Government of India.

Udaipur Division Chemist Association will support the protests and all the medical shops in the division will remain closed.

The protest will witness the closure of more than 7.5 Lac medical shops in the country while more than 5000 medical representatives will come together at Jantar Mantar, Delhi to raise their voice against the government’s new Drug Policy.

Among major things, chemists say that FDI in Drug market will adversely affect 25 lac families and more than 1 crore general public. They are also against the mandatory presence of a pharmacist in every medical shop.
