A children’s park is under construction on the mountain above the Hanuman Temple located at Doodh Talai, Udaipur. The initiative has been done by the Forest Department at a cost of Rs 2 crore.  Mukesh Saini, IFS Officer, said that the park has been developed keeping in view the needs of physical-mental development of children aged 3 to 12 years.

The park will also offer parents to do yoga-meditation with their children in the huts. A hanging bridge named Laxman Jhula will be built. The work is anticipated to be completed by the end of May, after which the inauguration is possible in the month of June.

Prior to this the admission fee will be decided. Under adventure activities, Mini Zip Line, Mini Wall Climbing, Sea Way Bridge, Zigzag Bridge, Balancing Log Bridge, Tire Swing Bridge, Sparking Walk Bridge, Commando Bridge etc. have been prepared for children.

On an average 5000 tourists and city dwellers visit the City Palace, Pichola and Karni Mata ropeways every day. They also have children with them. Presently there are facilities for children like boating in Lake Pichola and ropeway on Karni Mata. With the development of the new park, children will get another destination. They will be able to enjoy exciting activities.

It will be profitable for the Forests Department. The officials say that the entry fee will be kept minimal. The park is being constructed outside the historic Rampol Gate of the hill (near Karni Mata Ropeway).
