CM Ashok Gehlot meets Lt. Archit's Mother
The bereaved family of Lieutenant Archit Verdia, who died while saving the lives of his fellow army men on 20th July 2011, was visited by the chief minister of Rajasthan- Ashok Gehlot today at 6:30 PM to pay his tributes to the departed soul and condolences to the family.

In a conversation with the media, the CM said that like Archit there are many other sons of Rajasthan who are serving the nation on the border. Citing the crucial role played by the Jawaans of Rajasthan in the war of Kargil , the CM referred Rajasthan as Veer Bhumi. He said that after discussing with local authorities we will construct a memorial of Lt. Archit Verdia.
Recognizing the pain that the family of a martyr has to bear, the CM said that the whole nation is with them in these times of adversity.
When enquired about the issue of naming a road in the honor of the lieutenant, the CM said that he will discuss the matter with the cabinet and will response as soon as possible.
Also present along with the CM were Raghuveer Singh Meena , Mangilal Garasiya, and Neelima Sukhadia.
