District Collector Hemant Gera today took a Weekly Review Meeting to check the tasks and works being done by various administrative departments of the city.
The Collector emphasized on the implementation of plans for the removal of encroachments at the earliest possible.

The Collector emphasized on the implementation of plans for the removal of encroachments at the earliest possible.

Out of various points talked, here is the summary of a few most important subjects discussed in the meeting.

  • Collector has instructed the officials to solve queries swiftly which are brought through Sanjeevani Prakosth and helplines by the common mass.
  • He reviewed the tasks which are mandatorily to be done in the realm of implementing the budget guidelines.
  • Concerned departments were asked to prepare a detailed report on water bodies which includes their water capacities and their maps.
  • It was reviewed that UIT have completed their survey on 11 water bodies, now they have 6 left which will be done soon. Collector asked them to do it as early as possible.
  • Collector insisted on constructing better roads, where needed. He wants them to submit weekly reports.
  • Electricity department was instructed to give priority to Rajeev Gandhi Sewa centers, in providing electricity connections. Board presented the statistic, in which they pointed that 95 such centers have already been provided with the electricity connections.
  • Collector issued 3.50 lacs for the sterilization of stray dogs to the Animal Husbandry Department.
  • Agriculture Department has been instructed to generate and submit weekly report of wheat that is purchased on the declared prices.
  • He insisted and instructed concerned departments to act rapidly on the matter of adulterated milk. He asked Rajasthan Pollution Control Department to see through the illegal use of Plastic bags.
  • He also pointed towards stopping construction in the ‘No construction Zones’.
  • He explained that BPL (below poverty line) individuals and Families should get the benefit of Indira Gandhi Old-age Plans easily.
  • The construction of Heritage Walk from Jagdish Chowk to Ghantaghar was also discussed and orders were given to prepare an estimate for the same.
  • The following reports were presented in the meeting
  • Assistant Director, Agriculture informed about the purchase of 1000 metric tons of wheat from 5 centers on declared prices and pointed out the problem of storage and assured to expand storage capacity with the Collector’s permission.
  • Sub-Divisional Magistrate presented the statistics on use plastic bags. He informed that he himself looked into the illegal usage of Plastic bag’s cases and ceased 1358.680 Kg plastic bags from 1446 shops during inspectional activities.
  • In Adulterated Milk case a total of 9000+ samples were checks for deficient quality and out of those, 543 were found deficient.

The meeting was led by Mohammed Yaseen Pathan, Additional District Collector (City). In the meeting B.R Bhati, Additional District Collector (Administration) and officers from various departments including Treasury, Rajasthan State Pollution Control Borad, UIT, Municipal Council, Agriculture, Rajfed, Dairy, Electricity, Water, Lok Nirmaan, Tourist, Medical and Health, Animal Husbandry were present.
