Udaipur, December 26, 2024 - Representatives from the hospitality sector met with Udaipur District Collector Arvind Poswal today to request his intervention in the confusion surrounding the renewal process of hotel and guesthouse license.

A delegation led by the Hotel Association Udaipur, Hotel Association of Southern Rajasthan, and Business Circle India Tourism submitted a memorandum to the Collector. The memorandum expressed concerns about the complex procedures related to the Nagar Nigam’s 10-year license process. The delegates said that only a few months ago an order was issued that renewal would be for 10 years but contrary to this, the Nagar Nigam staff was indicating a one-year renewal.

Nagar Nigam’s health officer Satyanarayan Acharya was also included in the discussion.

The delegation appealed to the Collector to simplify the license process and also restore its previous 10-year validity rule. The Collector assured the delegation that due consideration would be given to the matter.

Present at the meeting were Sudarshan Dev Singh Karohi, president of the Hotel Association Udaipur; Usha Sharma, secretary; Yashvardhan Ranawat, vice-president of the Hotel Association and BCI Tourism Charter president; Member Nanalal Vaya; Subhash Singh Ranawat, president of Hotel Association of Southern Rajasthan; and Rakesh Chaudhary, secretary.
