Jaldarshan Colony, located behind Rani Road Church in the city, has voiced its discontent by submitting a memorandum to the District Collector and Municipal Commissioner. The residents are demanding swift action for the removal of dirty water drainage and the cleanup of litter in vacant plots.
The colony inhabitants have raised concerns about polluted water flowing from public toilets in the Mastan Baba area into crucial water catchment zones, including Dholi Magri, Oda Basti, Sajjannagar etc. This contaminated water eventually reaches Fatehsagar Lake, negatively impacting the entire area's environment.
The repercussions of the polluted water are manifold, as it has led to the breeding of mosquitoes and the spread of a foul odor. Residents are worried about the potential outbreak of diseases, making outdoor activities, especially for children, a cause for concern even in the evenings.
A spokesperson from the colony emphasized the urgency of the situation and has called upon the Municipal Commissioner for a prompt solution.
