Four companies have shown interest in operating toy rain and pedal boat in Gulab Bagh. Municipal Corporation is now hopeful towards the success of this project.

Tenders were opened on Wednesday for operating toy train, pedal boat and a cafeteria in Gulab Bagh. As per AEN Chauhan, both the projects have been included in one package with an estimated budget of 5.5 crore rupees. The contract period for these projects will be 15 years.

Four contractors have displayed interest in carrying out the projects. These are Manshpoorna Karni Mata ropeway Udaipur, Mewar Boating Udaipur, a company from Ahmedabad and Shiva Corporation India ltd. Jaipur. It may be noted that Manshapoorna Karni Mata ropeway is already operating a ropeway and the fish aquarium in Udaipur city and Mewar Boating Udaipur has operated boats in Udaipur lakes. The officers from Municipal Corporation informed that the tender process is likely to be finalised in a week.

Municipal Corporation has also invited tenders for operation of pedal boats in Goverdhan Sagar for 3 years. This package includes the operation of cafeteria on the ship shaped island. Public will get a facility of going to the island through pedal boats. Manshapoorna Karni Mata rope-way and MM Travels have stepped forward for the project. Municipal Corporation is also developing a park along side Goverdhan Sagar and the addition of pedal boats is likely to add a new dimension to Goverdhan Sagar as a tourist spot.
