Jeevan Jyoti, a government run orphanage located in Sukher area of Udaipur is now facilitated with computer training arranged by Samvedna Charitable Trust to educate more than 90 orphan kids living under the roof of the residential care.

Jeevan Jyoti, a government run orphanage located in Sukher area of Udaipur is now facilitated with computer training arranged by Samvedna Charitable Trust to educate more than 90 orphan kids living under the roof of the residential care.

Kids are being provided with 4 Laptops and 5 Desktops installed at the hostel campus in which daily classes are also organized by the trust for 2 months. The training is given by retired teacher, Bhaj Raj Singh and the batch has already started from 1st May to be continued till 30th June 2012.

According to the information provided by Shobha Karwa, Trustee, Samvedna Charitable Trust, “The lodging and boarding of kids are supplied by Government organization, while educational needs like School Uniforms, Stationery and Text books including Tuition fees is provided by the trust itself.”

Shobha Karwa said that the classes will continue on weekend after the summer vacations and at that time kids of nearby localities would also be included in the computer training program.

“All the computers were donated to the trust. NRI siblings Shaurya and Sherya Mantri from USA donated 4 laptops and Shrikant and Meghna Saboo both local businessmen from Udaipur helped with 5 desktop computers,” informed Shobha Karwa.
