In different meetings held in Udaipur, both district and rural congress committees paid homage to the Late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 28^th Death Anniversary and remembered Iron Man Sardar Vallbh Bhai Patel on his 137^th Birth Anniversary. Various functions were organized by the congress party today on the occasion.

Congress Committee (City)

According to Ranjana Sahu, spokesperson of Nilima Sukhadia, a function was organized at the city congress committee office at the residence of Sukhadia during which, addressing the congress workers, Nilima said that Indira was the inspiration to the Nation and she gave her life for the Nation.

She said Sardar Vallbh Bhai Patel is known for the unification of India.

Neelima Sukhadia also showed a rare photograph of Indira Gandhi who came in the wedding function of Nilima and Dilip Sukhadia, Daughter in law and son respectively of former chief minister of Rajasthan, Late Mohanlal Sukhadia.

In this meeting, along with Nilima, Trilok Purbia, Ganesh Rajora, Daryvad Singh Chundawat, Jai Prakash Nimawat and many congress workers were present.

Trilok Purbia was also seen talking about the 4^th November Congress Rally, during the function.

Congress Committee (Rural)

In another function held by Congress (Rural), under the leadership of Lal Singh Jhala, (President Congress Rural) a function was organized at their office at Amal ka Kanta.

In his speech, Jhala said that Indira Gandhi nationalized the banks in 1969, in 1971 she defeated Pakistan and set free Bangladesh. Referring to her as Iron Lady, he said that the first Atomic test was also done during her reign.

Jhala also said that Sardar Vallbhbhai Patel is well known as the Iron man of India as he made a great contribution in the unification of the Nation. In this meeting, Shyam lal Choudhary, Hari Singh Jhala, Devendra Singh Shaktawat, Laxmi Narayan Meena, Nawal singh Chundawat, Indira Rajpurohit and large number of party workers were present.

Congress Media Center

Pankaj Sharma along with the congress media center workers also paid homage by offering flowers on the Pictures of Indira Gandhi and Vallabh bhai Patel.
