It would be first of its kind incident where a couple adopted a hearing impaired baby girl from Mahesh Ashram.
Married for last 16 years, the couple Deepak and Bharti Verma from Chittorgarh desired to become parent and finally, their wish accomplished today when they took 6 months old Muskaan in their hands.
When asked why did they chose to adopt a disabled baby Bharti Verma replied, “What if she was my biological baby, wouldn’t I accept her? Won’t I try to give her best medical treatment? Then why not Muskaan?”
Deepak Verma, an employee at Miraj contacted Mahesh Ashram 8 months ago and shared their wish to adopt a baby. The ashram officials told them about Muskaan who was left abandoned when she was just 15 days old and is hearing impaired.
Devendra Agarwal, founder of Mahesh Ashram said, “The couple immediately took decision of adopting Muskaan and now it is the first case in Rajasthan where a disabled baby is adopted.”
Agarwal informed that, there are 7 more disabled babies in Mahesh Ashram who are waiting to be adopted. The step taken by Deepak and Bharti will definitely encourage others to come forward and become the savior of these children.
Muskaan will be handed over to the couple by district collector of Chittorgarh as per the new norms of adoption.
