Family Court No.3 of Udaipur District Sessions Court pronounced an important decision on Friday 16 February, wherein it ordered a monthly maintenance of Rs 4 Lac to be paid to the estranged wife of VIkramaditya Singh. The interim application for monthly maintenance was submitted in October 2022 through Advocate Bhanwar SIngh Deora, the counsel for Sudarshna Kumari, the estranged wife of Vikramaditya Singh, the son of the late CM of Himachal Pradesh, Virbhadra Singh.
Advocate Bhanwar Singh Deora said that Sudarshna Singh, wife of Vikramaditya Singh, son of former Himachal Chief Minister Late Virbhadra Singh, had filed a maintenance case against him along with an application for interim maintenance. Hearing the verdict on this, the court, after hearing the arguments on this matter on Friday, ordered Vikramaditya to give a monthly maintenance amount of Rs 4 Lac to his estranged wife.
The wife of Shimla Rural MLA, Vikramaditya had filed a criminal case under Section 12 of the Domestic Violence Act on 17 October 2022. The matter was also listed for hearing on November 17, 2022. The court had scheduled a hearing for serving the non-bailable warrant. Vikramaditya Singh and others have been accused in criminal cases.
It is noteworthy that Vikramaditya Singh married Princess Sudarshna Singh of Mewar Royal Family. Sudarshna was seen with her in-laws during the demise of Vikramaditya's father and former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh during the COVID pandemic. Post the lockdown, and Virbhadra's death, the husband and wife have been living separately.
