In a recent initiative to boost tourism, District Collector Arvind Poswal reviewed cultural performances by local artists at various sites across the city. He emphasized the importance of such events for entertaining visitors and showcasing Udaipur's rich cultural heritage.
During his visit to Suchna Kendra, Collector highlighted the open theater, noting its suitability as a venue for cultural events. He pointed out that this location previously hosted the shooting of the iconic song "Ghar Jaa Man" from the classic film "Guide." This historical connection enhances the theater's appeal as a tourist destination.
Development projects facilitated by the UDA have further enhanced the city's infrastructure, creating a conducive environment for cultural activities. Poswal proposed organising regular cultural programs in the open theater, akin to those conducted by the Western Cultural Center and the Lok Kala Mandal.
To move forward with this initiative, the Collector directed the preparation of necessary proposals to ensure that Udaipur continues to offer an engaging experience for tourists. This effort will promote local artists.
