Udaipur district Collector Anandi, in her order #1774 dated 8 May had declared Prohibitory orders (which amounts to Curfew) in those areas that have got a large number of coronavirus positive cases. She has also included certain areas in the periphery of the infected areas, and those which fall under adjacent police stations, in the curfew areas list.
The areas include:
Complete area under the Ghantaghar police station, which includes the major infected areas of Kanji ka Hata, complete area under the Dhanmandi police station, which includes Mukherjee Chowk, Kheradiwara, Nayakvadi, Naiyon ki Talai, Kalaji Goraji, Rangniwas, Bhatiyani Chohatta, Asthal Mandir, Amal ka Kaannta, Brahmpuri, Ziniret, Nadakhada, Kumawatpura, Surajpol, Kumharwara, Khanjipeer, Kishenpol, Patel Circle, Regar Colony, Udaipol, Agrasen Nagar, Shivaji Nagar, Sarvritu Vilas, Kailash Colony, Beeda, Gosiya Colony, Machhla Magra, Swaraj Nagar and complete areas under Surajpol Police station.
In her earlier order, she had also included areas of Dewali, Neemuchmata and Haridas ji ki Magri, which fall under Ambamata police station, in the list of curfew areas.
Anandi, in her instructions later in the day, also instructed the evacuation of Kanji ka Hata. Residents of Kanji ka Hata and Heliwara will be transferred to a private quarantine center in the outskirts of the city.
All individuals with the exception of sick persons, people affected by medical emergencies, health workers, cleaners, law and order persons are ordered to stay indoors. All shops, establishments, places of religious worship and gyms will stay closed. No activities of public gathering, marriage functions, rallies will be permitted. Private and public vehicle movement will be restricted.
In an additional order, the administration has provided area wise details of dissemination of grocery, milk and vegetable vendors who will be coming into the curfew infected areas.
