Daily power cut in Udaipur has been increased to 3 hours. Earlier it was decided to cut down power by 2 hours.

Udaipur city needs to adjust with this power cut now. Earlier the schedule fixed for power cut was 2 hours for urban areas and 3 hours for rural areas. From 9 to 11 a.m. the power cut slab has gone to 9 to 12 for urban areas whereas rural areas will face this cut off from 9 to 2 p.m. It is not yet clear as to how many days this will go on.

XEN Girish Joshi of CD2 said that the next 4 to 5 days’ power cut will result in saving of a lot of power. There are areas which will face a 9 to 5 power cut viz. Baneda colony, Reliance Fresh, Batheda colony, Field club road, Polo ground, Doordarshan, Gumaniawala, NMadhuban, Mohta Park, Panchwati, Excise office, Railway Training centre, Sukhadia circle and New Fatehpura.

9 to 4 power cut areas are Ashok Nagar, Shri Niketan, Maya Sansthan, Hanuman park, Sabhapati Bhawan, TRI, Vigyan Bhawan, Durga Nursery Road, Shiv Park colony and nearby areas.

Even today the power cut was supposed to be 9 to 12. But it was resumed around 1p.m. in most part of the city.
