Residents told to stay clear of Sisarma, Nandeshwar as water is released on May 2 from Akodara and Madri
Udaipur, May 1, 2025 – The Water Resources Department has informed that, to meet Udaipur city’s drinking water demand during the summer, 100 MCFt of water will be released from Akodara and Madri dams of Dewas I and II and diverted into Pichola and Fateh Sagar lakes on May 2.
Mahesh Chaudhary, Executive Engineer of the Water Resources Division, Udaipur, has advised all residents living in the flow areas of Sisarma river and Nandeshwar tank to stay away from rivers and streams during the water release and to keep their livestock away as well, in order to prevent any loss of life or property.
