Dawoodi Bohra Community observes Laylatul Qadr

Better than 1000 nights, the night of Laylatul Qadr was observed last night by the Dawoodi Bohra Community with zeal and faith. It is said that it was on this night that the verses of the Holy Quran were first revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. It is also believed that it is this night of the year when the predestined affairs of individuals are handed over to the angels for action and occurrence.

Better than 1000 nights, the night of Laylatul Qadr was observed last night by the Dawoodi Bohra Community with zeal and faith. All the Bohra Masjids and Prayers Halls across the town were decorated specially for the night. Dressed in clean white religious dresses Bohra Community members were seen heading to their respective Prayers Halls and Masjids after the sunset and returned home only in the morning after offering the night long prayers.

Keeping up their faith, Bohras asked for blessings not just for themselves, but for their community, their locality and the nation as a whole. The Imam leading the prayers asked for peace and prosperity of our country.

In the Prayer Halls and Masjids of Shia Dawoodi Bohra Community, the vasila and prayers were directly relayed from Masjid in Mumbai where their spiritual leader Dr. Syedna Muhammad Burhanuddin observed the night of Laylatul Qadr.

Shia Dawoodi Bohra Community spokesperson Dr. B. Moomin also informed that today is birth anniversary of heir of Dr. Syedna, Mufaddal Bhai sahib. People from all across the world send their well wishes for the spiritual heir and look forward to celebrate the birthday with fun and frolic.

For the Muslims following Ramadan in accordance with sighting of moon, the Laylatul Qadr will be observed on August 5.
