Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat AGM: Focus on Community Welfare, Education, Sports
A unique ID is being prepared for every member of the society which will soon be sent to the ID of the family’s head
UdaipurTimes, Oct 6, 2026. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat (DBJ), reformist group, was held on Sunday, October 4, at a resort in Gogunda, according to DBJ Secretary Firoz Tinwala.
DBJ president Iqbal Hussain Rassawala presented the annual social account of all the institutions associated with the Jamaat. He sought and got approval from the general assembly on steps to be taken in the future for the overall development of the society.
The president also shared said that a unique ID is being prepared for every member of the society which will soon be sent to the ID of the family’s head.
Additionally, information was shared about plans to inspire children and youth in the fields of education and sports. The success of this year's sporting events was also discussed.
On the occasion, Patron of Central Board of Dawoodi Bohra Community (CBDBC) Abid Hussain Adeeb, CBDBC Zonal Secretary Hibatullah Attari, Dr Zainab Banu RV and former DBJ president Abbas Ali Nathjiwala also expressed their views on the Bohra Youth movement.
Several members of the community were honoured during the AGM for the diligence displayed by them in their work towards the welfare of the community. The felicitated personalities are: Abbas Ali Kurabadwala, Fayyaz Hussain Itarsi, Abid Hussain Rajnagarwala, Hatim Ali Taj, Zulfiqar Ali Peepawala, Tahira Kholiyawala, Amina Orawala, Tahir Goriawala, Zulfiqar Kholiyawala, Amina Mahuwala, Mohammad Orawala, Moiz Mediwala, Asghar Ali Muhib, Mansoor Ali Nathdwarawala, Haider Ali Barodawala, Saifuddin IR & Sons, Nafeesa Goriya and Hatim Ali Lohawala.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Firoz Nath, DBJ Joint Secretary, presented the Vote of Thanks.
Following the AGM, some games and entertainment were conducted for the participants.
