A day after dead fish were found in Gangu Pond, a similar incident has emerged at Nela Pond. On July 12,2024, several dead fish were discovered on the banks of Nela Pond, located in Sector-14.
Locals who noticed the dead fish informed the local councilor, Santosh Menaria. Following this, the Administration and Rural MLA, Phool Singh Meena, were notified. Workers were then brought in to remove the fish.
In response to the incident, a memorandum was submitted to the ADM City. The memorandum called for an investigation into the reasons behind the fish deaths. It also recommended the installation of a fountain in the pond to keep the water clean.
Meanwhile, dead fish continued to be removed from Gangu Pond for the second day. Another memorandum will be submitted to the administration on Monday.
