Udaipur, December 7, 2024 – The deadline for LPG-ID mapping for National Food Security Act (NFSA) beneficiaries to avail LPG cylinders at Rs 450 has been extended until December 10, and the deadline for eKYC has been extended until December 31.

Meanwhile, a Give-Up Campaign initiative is going on to encourage ineligible beneficiaries of the NFSA to voluntarily opt out of the scheme. These include income taxpayers, State Government employees and four-wheel owners. This campaign will continue until May 31 after which a survey will be conducted to identify ineligible families in these categories who have not opted out and legal action will be taken against them.

District Logistics Officer Manish Bhatnagar said that, as per the Chief Minister’s budget announcement for 2024-25, the scope of the LPG Cylinder Scheme has been expanded, and all consumers who are beneficiaries of the NFSA will now be provided an LPG cylinder at Rs 450. Eligible consumers should get their family members' Aadhaar numbers seeded, complete eKYC, and ensure their LPG-ID is linked through the POS (Point of Sale) machines at their nearest Fair Price Shop.

If eKYC is not completed by the given date, consumers will be removed from the NFSA as per the directions of the High Court.
