Delhi Enforces GRAP-3 as AQI Dips to ‘Severe’; Schools Go Hybrid

Delhi government directs both government and private schools to adopt online and offline teaching upto Class 5

Nov 12, 2025 – Delhi government has imposed GRAP-3 (Graded Response Action Plan) restrictions in the national capital and the NCR (National Capital Region owing to the jump in air pollution for the second straight day.  This directive has come from the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM). Schools, both government and private, have been instructed to conduct hybrid classes for all students up to Class 5, and must adopt online and offline teaching with immediate effect.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded 414 at 9:00 am on Wednesday, November 12, continued to stay in the “severe” category of air pollution following deterioration in the quality of air post Diwali.

An AQI between 51 and 100 is “satisfactory”, 101 and 200 is termed as “moderate”, 201 and 300 “poor”, 301 and 400 “very poor”, and 401 and 500 “severe”, as per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
