The Rs. 5000 core worth, exclusive railway project will make an innovative transformation to lives of commuters.
The normal speed of Rajdhani Express is 120-130 kmph covering 1400 km in 16 hours. If all goes well in the coming up revolutionary rail project, the same distance is going to cut-off by half of its actual time. That means, a journey by train from Delhi-Mumbai will be covered in 7 hours with speed of 160-200 kmph.
The Golden Rail Corridor is moving upright to its next facade since the announcement came a year back by Railway Minister Mamta Banerjee.
Japanese delegations have already showed their ‘quiet optimistic’ anticipation for the concerned project, according to Western Railway. Out of three proposed routes, last week the delegation came to inspect the Rout-B Delhi –Mumbai via Jaipur, Kota, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Vadodra and Surat.
The authority is also planning to safeguard the corridor by fencing to avoid any mishaps due to trespassers or cattle.
While quoting to TOI, Sharat Chandrayan, chief public relations officer, WR said that there is no need of separate infrastructure in semi-high speed train, however some modifications are necessary like how these trains will change the track in the speed of 100 kmph, as normally trains are not allowed to change the track over 30 kmph speed.
The Golden Rail Corridor will comprise any of the following routes: Route A – Delhi-Jaipur-Ajmer-Palanpur- Ahmedabad-Vadodra-Surat-Mumbai Route B – Delhi-Jaipur-Kota-Udaipur-Ahmedabad-Vadodra-Surat-Mumbai Route C- Delhi-Agra-Kota-Ratlam-Vadodra-Surat-Mumbai
