Demand to declare Rath Yatra day as dry-day
Dry-day demanded on the 4th July as Rath Yatra will take place on this day.

Shri Jagannath Rath yatra is about to take place on the 4 th of July. Preparations are on in Jagdish Temple and Shri Jagannath Dham in Sector 7 to make this yatra grand and memorable. The committee members and the devotees met with District Collector and even gathered around the excise department and demanded that 4th July-the day of Rath Yatra- must be declared as a dry-day to maintain the significance of this spiritual yatra. They also demanded that all the slaughter houses must also be kept closed understanding the sanctity of this day.
