Demanding High Court Bench in Udaipur is our Right – Advocates View

With the intention of taking the ongoing protests to incorporate a High Court Bench in Udaipur to the next level, the BAR Association under the banner of Mewar Vagad High Court Bench Sangarsh Samiti organized a seminar today at Rotary Bhawan, Udaipur.

With the intention of taking the ongoing protests to incorporate a High Court Bench in Udaipur to the next level, the BAR Association under the banner of Mewar Vagad High Court Bench Sangarsh Samiti organized a seminar today at Rotary Bhawan, Udaipur.

Representatives from various districts and Tehsils of Udaipur region took part in the conference. The advocates discussed the decade old struggle and hoped for a positive outcome soon.

Brijendra Seth, media coordinator, informed that the movement was first started by Ramesh Nandwana in 1982. Brijendra Seth shared the detailed aspects of the movement.

Advocates from nearby places including Banswara, Pratapgarh, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Vallabhnagar and Kapasan also shared their views and pledged to continue the fight.

Being a tribal area, Mewar and Vagad require a High Court, justified the advocates.

“Our demand for a High Court bench is our right. When states like Orissa and Maharashtra has also incorporate a High Court bench in areas with high tribal population, then why not in Udaipur”, said Laxmilal Pokharna, a Senior Advocate from Chittorgarh.
