Two more workers of Devas Water Project, Nathulal from Karnal and Pokhar Singh from Jharkhand died during their treatment at M.B Hospital. Both of them were admitted to the hospital in serious condition yesterday when the lift collapsed at Devas’s Madri link tunnel injuring 11workers in which Harjinder Pal died on the spot.

Nathulal has succumbed to his injuries last night on 13 April while Pokhar Singh died today morning at M.B Hospital.

Devas authority has announced Rs.2 Lakh compensation for all deceased while Rs. 50,000 for injured workers.

The accident occurred on 13 April when a lift carrying more than ten workers collapsed 35 feet down at Madri Damar Mala.

The Laborer Union has filed a case of negligence against the liftmen.
