Digital Payment Facility Introduced in Udaipur Post Offices
Udaipur Post Offices introduce QR code and card-based digital payment facilities; citizens can now book postal services using UPI, debit, and credit cards
Udaipur, Jan 2, 2025 - To provide citizens with convenient, secure and cashless services, the Department of Posts, Udaipur Division, is actively promoting digital payment facilities across all post offices. Under this initiative, APT 2.0–based QR code payment systems have been introduced at post office counters, enabling customers to make payments easily through any UPI-enabled mobile application.
In addition, SBI Point of Sale (SBI POS) machines have been installed at post office counters, allowing payments via debit and credit cards.
The Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Udaipur Division, said citizens can now make digital payments for booking various postal services, eliminating the need for cash transactions. This initiative is a significant step towards enhancing transparency, reducing cash handling and ensuring faster and more secure postal services.
