Women passengers will get a 50% discount on all RSRTC (Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation) buses. CM Ashok Gehlot announced this on Thursday, 25 May, 2023. He made this announcement during a programme held at the new bus terminal inauguration at Sindhi Camp. Except for Udaipur, Alwar, Jodhpur, and Kota, all places on this edition will be subject to a Rs. 2.00 road surcharge.

RSRTC stands for Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation. It is the state-owned public bus transportation company in the Indian state of Rajasthan. RSRTC operates a vast network of buses that connect various cities, towns, and villages within Rajasthan, as well as provide interstate bus services to neighboring states.

RSRTC buses are known for their distinctive transportation for both local commuters and tourists in Rajasthan. The corporation offers a range of bus services, including regular and deluxe buses, express services, and sleeper coaches. The buses are equipped with comfortable seating, air conditioning (in some buses), and other amenities to ensure a pleasant journey for passengers.

“Women will be able to take advantage of 50% discount in the fare of all categories of buses including express, deluxe, along with ordinary buses. Satellite and new bus stands are being built. A state of the art bus stand is also being prepared in Jodhpur. Fare concession is also being given to the devotees going to Lakhi fairs.”

The brand-new bus station at Sindhi Camp Bus Stand will contain eight bus ways, an air-conditioned passenger waiting area, WiFi, a lift, an escalator, a water harvesting system, and a solar plant.

RSRTC plays a crucial role in providing affordable and reliable transportation options for the residents of Rajasthan, connecting remote areas and facilitating travel across the state.
