A surprise mock drill was carried out at the Karni Mata ropeway by the city’s administrators.

The District Collector, Hemant Gera, accompanied by the Superintendent of Police, Alok Vashisht and the ADM City, Yaseen Pathan took charge of the drill.

Other officers of the Municipal Council of Udaipur were also present along with a Fire Brigade as well as the 108 Ambulance.

The purpose of the visit as conveyed by the senior officers was that they wanted to ascertain the effectiveness of the fire control and crisis management procedures and process in case of an unwanted incident that could occur at the venue.  Further, they also wanted to observe and understand the modus operandi under such circumstances.
