Udaipur, September 30, 2024 – The Udaipur division of the Chamber of Commerce held a meet of its working committee members yesterday under president Paras Singhvi to discuss Diwali celebrations in the city’s business areas. The discussion was on how to plan decoration of the markets in order to make this year’s festival season vibrant and attractive.

Singhvi said that for the markets to be lively, it is important for people to avoid online shopping and instead visit stores and showrooms to personally inspect and buy. Keeping this in mind, the members decided to hold a market decoration competition among the trade associations for the best decorations. Members announced that all shops would be invited to join in the contest. This contest would be open to all including non-members of the Chamber, who could join after paying a fee.

A committee to overlook this has been formed with Inder Singh Mehta as the co-ordinator and Rakesh Jain and Alok Pagaria as co-coordinators. An administrative jury will be announced soon.

Apart from this, senior member Shivkumar Bapna was honoured at the meeting.
