Under the initiative of the Badi area’s Animal Aid Charitable Trust, a comprehensive program aimed at mass sterilization of dogs is currently in progress across various blocks in the city. The primary objective of this initiative is to control the population of dogs and prevent the spread of rabies.

Sterilization and Vaccination Drive

The program includes sterilization and vaccination procedures for dogs, with a focus on the Savina and Sector 14 areas initially. Teams have been deployed to conduct these procedures efficiently and effectively.

New Helpline for Dog Sterilization

To facilitate the sterilization process in other areas, the organization has introduced a new helpline number: 9929864454. Residents can utilize this number to provide information and request sterilization services for dogs in their respective areas.

Assistance for Other Animals

For assistance regarding sick, injured, or abandoned animals other than dogs, individuals are advised to contact the previously established helpline numbers at 9829843726 and 7300381555. These numbers remain operational for addressing concerns related to non-canine animals.

Collaboration with Municipal Corporation

It is worth noting that in January 2023, an agreement was reached between the Municipal Corporation and Animal Aid to collaborate on efforts to control the dog population and prevent rabies.
