The problem of waterlogging at Delhi Gate will soon be addressed with a major drainage project. The old drain will be demolished and widened to prevent water accumulation. The project will cost around Rs 16.57 lakh.

Ashish Kothari, Chairman of the Municipal Corporation's Construction Committee, explained that waterlogging has been a persistent issue during the rainy season at Delhi Gate. Local traders had frequently reported this problem to Mayor Govind Singh Tank. In response, the Mayor has ordered the drain to be reconstructed and widened from Kalyan Jewelers at Delhi Gate to in front of Shramjivi College.

On Tuesday, September 10,2024, the construction work was officially inaugurated by city MLA Tarachand Jain and Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi.
