An unusual and uncontrollable situation occurred today at the Police Constable Recruitment program running for the last few days at Udaipur’s Gandhi Ground when a few under training cadets clashed with their trainers due to alleged unfairness in disqualification.

An unusual and uncontrollable situation occurred today at the Police Constable Recruitment program running for the last few days at Udaipur’s Gandhi Ground when a few under training cadets clashed with their trainers due to alleged unfairness in disqualification. Later, they also clashed with the home guards on duty at M.B Hospital where some cadets were admitted for ill health. Drama, Agitation and Fight at Police Constable Training ProgramMBC and RAC 12th Battalion is currently conducting police constable recruitment program in Gandhi Ground. Several men from Udaipur and nearby areas enrolled in this program which has several rounds of tests including physical and theoretical. On Tuesday morning, when the recruitment session started with a physical test of running 10 km (approx 25 rounds of Gandhi ground), few trainees reported ill health and dizziness and were urgently referred to the hospital. However, those who failed to complete the running test were eliminated from the recruitment program. This caused in an agitation from the trainees, the frustrated men tried to bull over situation on ground. The police team continually faced opposition from the trainees. Several apprentices even imitated to be unconscious and were referred to hospital. The scene became worse when these eliminated men reached hospital and started abusing the home guards present. In return, the home guard retaliated which resulted in a mass gathering at the spot. More guards were called to handle agitated men and somehow managed to take them to respective wards.
