In an operation by the Pollution Control Board, Udaipur to stop the use of plastic bags, 32 shops were raided today ceasing 52 kg plastic bags.
In an operation by the Pollution Control Board, Udaipur to stop the use of plastic bags, 32 shops were raided today ceasing 52 kg plastic bags.
It was a sudden inspection which started from shops located in Debari and moved towards Sunderwas, Pratap Nagar and Surajpol areas. Readymade cloth shops, sweet shops, juice centers were mainly targeted.
This raid was carried out under the direction of Regional Officer, Hansraj Kasana. In his team there were two officials Baljit Meena, Junior Environmental Officer and Yashpal Meena, Junior Scientific Officer.
52 Kgs of plastic bags were taken away from the shops that were inspected during the raid. This was a move to eradicate use of plastic bags in any form from the city.
